Vintage Tech to Host the Triton Free Electronic Recycling Day

On Saturday, April 14, Vintage Tech will be hosting the Triton Free Electronic Recycling Day in Bourbon, IN. This event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Triton Junior Senior High School, located at 300 Triton Drive in Bourbon.

Commonly accepted items for recycling are laptops, TV’s, printers, computers, fax machines, scanners, DVD players,  stereos, VCR’S, video game consoles, peripherals like mice and keyboards, PDA’s, cell phones, MP3 players, phones, UPS batteries, copiers, typewriters, etc.The event will be open to the public, including schools, businesses, and residents, and the recycling service will be completely free of charge.

Electronic waste is the fastest growing portion of solid waste in the United States, and much of it contains lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and other materials that pose environmental and health risks when not recycled properly.

By using a certified electronics recycler like Vintage Tech, members of the community can make sure that they are disposing of their electronics responsibly.
