Vintage Tech Recyclers plans new Riverside location, 50 new jobs

Vintage Tech Recyclers, an asset recovery and recycling company, will open its third Midwest location in Riverside, bringing 50 new hires.

The Illinois-based company plans a 40,000-square-foot operations center at 4380 Belgium Boulevard.

Vintage Tech Recyclers recycles electronics equipment, aiming to keep it out of landfills and other waste depositories where it could be harmful to the environment.

The company said in an announcement through the Kansas City Area Development Council that it picked Riverside for its central location and access to interstate and rail systems.

“The focus in sustainability and dedication to recycling is apparent in the (Kansas City) region, and it was important to locate in a community that has such a strong focus on recycling,” Karrie Gibson, president of Vintage Tech Recyclers, said in a written statement.
