Vintage Tech joins forces with Habitat for Humanity's ReStore

Vintage Tech and ReStore Flea Market EventWe paired with River Cities Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore for a flea market event on Saturday, May 17, 2014. (ReStores are retail outlets where Habitat for Humanity affiliates sell quality used and new home improvement products at 50-90% off retail.) We were onsite accepting items such as washers, dryers, and televisions at $2 an item with all proceeds going to fund housing projects in the community.

According to the Eagle Herald, ReStore Manager Michelle Drees said, “We just started a new house last week on Terrace Avenue…Funds are always needed. It’s for the community. The funds stay in Menominee and Marinette counties.”

The event included a flea market, cookout, bake sale, and a live broadcast. People came to donate items but stayed for some good eats and neat finds for themselves.

We’d like to say thank you to everyone who came out and supported this event. Not only did you responsibly recycle your electronics, but you also helped fund housing projects to help those in need.

The ReStore is open Tuesdays from 11am-5pm, Wednesday through Friday from 10am-6pm, and Saturdays from 9am-4pm. For more information, please contact the ReStore at (715) 732-6290.
