Steps to Recycling in Illinois

ReuseDo you know the steps to recycling in Illinois? If not, that is okay! Vintage Tech Recyclers wants to explain the five main steps to recycling in Illinois.

  • Step 1

    • The product is manufactured. Someone purchases the product from the retailer and uses the product until he/she disposes of it. If the user chooses to recycle it, we can move on to the next step.

  • Step 2

    • Vintage Tech Recyclers dismantles the used product, sorts all of its parts, and then sends some parts out to be smelted.

  • Step 3

    • The smelting plant melts those parts back to their original, raw state. They then send those parts to a factory to be reused to make other products.

  • Step 4

    • The factory builds new products from those parts and eventually sells their new products to a store.

  • Step 5

    • The store then sells the new products to a consumer and the cycle begins again.
