St. Charles starts new electronic recycling program

St. Charles, IL —

Starting Monday, St. Charles residents can dispose of their electronics between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays at the St. Charles public works facility, 1405 S. Seventh Ave.

“We encourage residents to take advantage of this convenient, self-service program and dispose of their old electronics in the proper way,” said John Lamb, the city’s environmental services manager. “Not only is it the law, but recycling these items is the right thing to do since many of the components can be salvaged and reused again and again.”

Electronics can also be dropped from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month at the Kane County Circuit Clerk facility, 540 S. Randall Road.
