Recycle electronics at Earth Day event

Join Habitat for Humanity Lakeside as it celebrates Earth Day on Saturday, April 19, by holding a free electronics recycling event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its ReStore locations in Sheboygan, 1911 N. Eighth St., and Plymouth, 3003 Eastern Ave.

Volunteers and staff will be on site to unload vehicles and answer any questions. Monetary donations are welcomed and proceeds from the event will go toward Habitat for Humanity Lakeside to help build more homes.

Habitat for Humanity Lakeside has teamed up with Vintage Tech Recyclers to provide a responsible electronics recycling service. Vintage Tech is an E-steward certified company that has partnered with several counties and communities throughout the state of Wisconsin and have helped with local electronic recycling drives in the past.

Items accepted: Christmas lights, computers, laptops, monitors, LCDs, cellphones, printers, scanners, modems, CD drives, cables, keyboards, mice, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, camcorders, cameras, game players and joysticks, telephones, pagers, answering machines, typewriters, calculators, adding machines, fax machines, copiers and more.

The event also includes a brat fry from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a silent auction at the Plymouth ReStore, free children’s activities and special discounts at the stores.
