One Day Electronic Waste Collection Event

This one day we recycle most all electronics and batteries. Here are just a few examples of electronic materials accepted this day – mostly “anything with a plug or a battery:”

Residents are invited to recycle old electronic items Saturday May 15, 9am – 1pm, at the Public Works Garaget- 5532 W. 98th St. Oak Lawn, Illinois.

 

This one day we recycle most all electronics and batteries. Additionally we will accept eyeglasses, hearing aids, & keys for the Oak Lawn Lions Club, cell phones for Cell Phones for Soldiers and gently worn or new shoes for Share your sole Foundation. Here are just a few examples of electronic materials accepted this day – mostly “anything with a plug or a battery:”

 

Acceptable items include computers, laptops, monitors, television sets, cell phones, rechargeable batteries, printers, fax machines, MP3 players, portable digital assistants, video game consoles, video cassette recorders/players, digital video disk players, zip drives and scanners.

 

Servicing the collection event will be Vintage Tech Recyclers, Inc. Vintage Tech Recyclers is a woman owned and operated company based in Romeoville, Il. They have received grant funding for 5 consecutive years and won the award for Illinois recycler of the year in 2008.
