@LivingstonDaily Habitat for Humanity of Greater Ingham County & Vintage Tech offer free electronics recycling:

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Ingham County, MI and Vintage Tech Recyclers have established a consumer electronics recycling program at the affiliate’s ReStore in Williamston.

Vintage Tech, an approved electronics recycler and member of the Michigan Recycling Coalition, provides a collection trailer and processes recycled electronics in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Computer hard drives will be wiped clean.

Consumers may take electronic products to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Ingham County ReStores during normal business hours Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is no charge to consumers for this service.

This ReStore sells donated goods at greatly discounted prices. These goods can be used to build and furnish homes. In addition, all of the proceeds from the ReStore go towards building homes in the Greater Ingham community for deserving families in need. The ReStore also promotes recycling so that no materials go to unnecessary waste. This includes recycling electronics, which, when sent to landfills, can leak harmful chemicals into the environment. Instead, many of the materials in electronics can be reused or repurposed. The partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Greater Ingham County and Vintage Tech works toward that goal.
