Habitat for Humanit ReStores: Lenawee County, MI

As part of our features on different Habitat for Humanity ReStores who have decided to partner with Vintage Tech, we would like to take a look at the ReStore for Lenawee County, Michigan. This Habitat for Humanity ReStore just began accepting recyclable electronics early last week.

The Lenawee County ReStore is located at 2811 Treat Highway in Adrian, Michigan, 49221. Their hours for electronics collection are Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This way, community members will not need to wait for a collection event  to responsibly recycle their old electronics. Some of the items that they accept for recycling are computers, laptops, printers, cell phones, PDA’s, MP3 players, game consoles, and other computer components. Items like kitchen and home appliances can not be accepted. All recycled computers’ hard drives will be wiped clean.

This ReStore, managed by Mike Cornell, sells home furnishing and repair items to build funds for Habitat projects. Currently, they have a 53-foot trailer at the store that will be picked up once it is full of recycled electronics. As of Monday, there were already over forty pieces of electronics collected. All of these electronics can be collected free of charge.

Vintage Tech would like to offer them a big thank you to the ReStore of Lenawee County for joining us in our effort to keep electronics out of landfills. Thank you!

This ReStore is one of many Michigan ReStores that have chosen to partner with Vintage Tech. For a full list of these locations, check out Michigan ReStores.
