Get rid of old electronics this weekend

The Plymouth School District will accept old electronics Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, as part of a community outreach recycling program.

The items will be accepted free of charge, as a community service. All personal data is guaranteed to be safely and securely destroyed. Materials will be recycled through Vintage Tech Recyclers Inc., a certified recycler.

Items can be brought to the shop doors on the north end of Plymouth High School from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Electronics that will be accepted are: TVs (CRT and all other); computer monitors (CRT and all other); CPUs (computer central processing units); laptops, netbooks, tablets; printers, scanners, fax machines, photocopiers; telephones, cellphones, PDAs; VCR/DVD players; stereo equipment; remote controls; MP3 players/iPods; and game systems.

Also accepted will be the following computer accessories: keyboards and mice; hard drives; speakers; flash drives; modems; back-up power supplies; and cables/cords.
