Businesses Taking Care to Recycle Electronics

One thing that we like to see happening more and more is people’s awareness of the need to recycle, whether it’s paper, plastic, or old electronics. As we all move toward becoming more environmentally conscious, it’s exciting to see that even big businesses are jumping on board. These days, electronics businesses are starting to take notice of how important it is to be responsible about the electronics that they produce.

This is most evident in the recent signing of the EPA’s SMM Electronics Challenge. This took place at our own headquarters in Romeoville, IL, where representatives from large electronics companies committed to responsible recycling. Current participants in this challenge are Best Buy, Dell, LG Electronics, Nokia, Panasonic, Sharp Electronics, Sony Electronics, Sprint, and Staples. You can read more about the SMM Electronics Challenge here.

As the holidays continue to draw nearer, and you go out shopping for new gadgets for your loved ones, please keep the environment in mind. When it’s time to get rid of your outdated electronic possessions, join in with all of the other people and companies who have agreed to recycle their old electronics responsibly with a certified recycler like Vintage Tech.
