Be an "Olympian" Electronics Recycler!

Many people have bought brand new electronics in response to this year’s Olympics, according to¬†this article¬†published on UPI.com. According to the author, a great deal more of consumers planned to buy new electronics to use for watching this year’s Olympics than they did for the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

This makes sense to us: when the largest summer sporting event featuring the best athletes in the world occurs only once every four years, you want to enjoy it in the best possible quality. However, while we wholeheartedly support the Olympics, we at Vintage Tech would like to gently remind you not to toss out your old electronics in the trash.

Getting new devices like smartphones, laptops, and big screen TVs can be fun and exciting, but you still need to make sure that you are caring for your environment by responsibly recycling whatever is replaced.

On that note, we would like to congratulate all of the amazing athletes who have already competed and performed, and wish the best for those who are still set to compete!
