Dump 'electronic waste' at special event Saturday
Owners of “electronic waste” can dispose of unwanted gadgets in an environmentally friendly manner during a six-hour collection event Saturday..
People who want to drop off items should enter Goodells County Park from Lapeer Road and go to the middle exhibit barn from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The department is teaming with Romeoville, Ill.-based Vintage Tech Recyclers to gather county residents’ unneeded electronics — items such as printers, monitors, TV sets, laptops, modems, mice, cables, phones, fax machines, MP3 players and video cassette recorders.
