Black Hawk honored

Black Hawk College in Moline has been honored by Vintage Tech Recyclers Inc. for its electronics recycling efforts.

In 2010, Black Hawk kept more than 16,800 pounds of electronics out of landfills by recycling the materials through Vintage Tech Recyclers. The fall 2010 pickup included 7,642 pounds of electronics consisting of computers, CRT monitors, LCD monitors, servers, printers, microwaves, televisions and other miscellaneous items.

Vintage Tech Recyclers has a "no landfill" policy and all of the material was recycled.
