FRANKENMUTH — This Saturday, Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance will host a free E-Waste Recycling Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at One Mutual in Frankenmuth.

The event kicks off with the first of three opportunities to dispose old computers, monitors, printers, televisions, satellite dishes, video game systems, telephones, cables, and much more.

There is no appointment needed and is open to residents, businesses and schools.

Subsequent recycling events will are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Saginaw County Mosquito Control, 211 Congress in Saginaw; and Saturday, Oct. 22 at Davenport University, 5300 Bay in Kochville Township.

Remove all batteries, including rechargeable products before drop off.

Many household items will be accepted, including blenders (without glass), coffee makers, fryers, toaster ovens, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, fans, cameras and holiday light strings.

Items that will not be accepted include curling irons, refrigerators, freezers, dish washers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, stoves and batteries.
